First attempt: Splatter

This is my very first attempt at a technique I have been in love with for sooo long!! I am actually really impressed with how it went, I thought it would be a very messy disaster! However, I love the colors, I love the brightness, and it only took me maybe 10 minutes to do! I got my inspiration from both Kayla Shevonne as well as Sandra from My World 

Nails of the week!!

This week I decided to do something simple yet girly. For the base color I used Rimmel Londons  - Silver bullet, I then applied L.A Colors - Fuel and Claire's - Snowball, finally to add a bit of sparkle I used L.A Colors - Ice Breaker

Dandelions

I stumbled across Mad Manis blog when Kayla Shevonne named Mad Manis blog of the month for June. I fell absolutely in LOVE with her dandelion nails and just had to try them out.. mine didn't come out quite as well as hers and my cuticles are absolutely horrid... but I was pretty pleased with the end result! 

Summer Nails!

I haven't had a post in a couple of weeks now, so I figured I better make up for it! I've had a few days off of work and since the weather here hasn't been very nice, I've had some time to pick up a few new polishes and just mess around! 

For the first day of summer nails I decided to do some little lady bugs after coming across one in my bedroom, so it seemed fitting! 

I've also been messing around with my OPI - Black Shatter, trying to figure out which colors I like best.

I heard today that one of our local beauty stores is getting rid of LCN nails, now I was getting ready to apply to take the course so I'm pretty disappointed...however, I was told that they are bringing in two new lines of nails, China Glaze Nails and OPI Nails.. so far the only research I have done on these is typing it in on Google, with no luck of course. So has anyone out there in blog world had an experiences with these nails? If so good or bad? would you get them again? I would love to have some input! 

Skittles

Nails of the week!!

Ive been super busy the last few weeks and I have been neglecting my nails and blog, so I am going to try something a bit different!! I am going to set a goal for myself, one set of nails a week!! So this weeks nails are just a simple Rainbow tipped skittles! I actually really love this style because it is so simple yet so fun! I was going to add a few polka dots, or maybe an additional color but I decided against it, what do you think?! 

Quick Post!

I haven't had a chance lately to do any updates, but just a little quick post here before i get back to my ridiculously busy week... All of my online purchases have arrived!! I was mostly satisfied with everything except my stamping kit... I cant seem to get the designs to stick to the stamper, I have tried buffing it down a bit but nothing seems to work... i guess I will have to keep at it! other than that I was really impressed by the quality of everything i purchased! I will post some pictures hopefully later today!

I done some very simple silver nails with a black matte French tip. On the thumb I done a simple swirl with some pink jewels. I'm still patiently waiting for my online purchases to arrive, but unfortunately Canada Post is expecting a strike on Monday so I have a feeling I will be waiting a while :(

Animal Print Nails!!

So my nails are finally back to normal and I plan on spending the afternoon experimenting with different nail designs! So stay tuned for a major picture overload!

First up is my animal print nails.. Ive got different colored leopard  print along with a simple zebra print.

Trying to fill my time!

So while I am unable to paint my own nails, Ive decided to just fool around (to fill the void in my life..) and do some simple nail art on artificial nails! :)

This afternoon I decided to try some simple cherry blossoms, as well as a New York Yankees design dedicated to my boyfriend, the Yankees biggest fan. haha

For The Cherry Blossoms I used:

A Little Hello!

Just a little Hello to my new followers! Just wanted to thank you guys for visiting and following my blog!! I swear  it is not always this boring, but my nails are allmmoosst better and I will be back with more posts, reviews and hopefully some video tutorials! So please stay tuned! 

New Purchases!

Since I have been unable to provide you guys with new photos, Ill just give a quick update on whats been going on!

My nails are on their way back so fingers crossed that they will be better very very soon! But to keep me busy and to fulfill my addiction, I have been shopping online! In addition to my purchases on www.bornprettystore.com , I have also purchased China Glaze - Towel Boy Toy from ebay, and also made a few purchases from www.eyeslipsface.com ,which included ELF- Coral polish, ELF- Mint Cream polish, ELF- Red Velvet polish, a new nail block and I also decided to try out a nourishing cuticle pen.

Im super excited to recieve my items and im looking SO forward to being able to do my nails 

again!

Comic Strip-ish Nails!

I was cruising around the internet looking at some different nail art and i came across this design! I fell so in love with them I wanted to try them out! so here they are, my comic strip-ish nails haha

New Purchase & Current Nails!

So I have been dying to buy some Zoya matte polish but since they don't sell it where I live I decided to buy something to hold me over until I can order some online!

I bought a bottle of Joe Fresh - Matte Top Coat, which is actually pretty awesome. I have been doing some experimenting and so far so good!

along with my matte top coat, I also purchased a  bottle of Joe Fresh - Grape and Joe Fresh Base and Top Coat, also another bottle of L.A Colors Art Deco- Ice Breaker.

On another note, I have been asked to do a nail art tutorial for a local online magazine http://envymagazine.ca/, Who you can also follow on twitter and facebook! So keep an eye out for an upcoming video tutorial!
